This is what's been going on with me and Brad and the reason why my blog, Closet Visit and Bap Story have been slow. Especially Bap Story was too hard to manage with my nausea. The 1st trimester was pretty hard for me but the little bean's ultrasound photos cheered me up everyday. Thankfully I'm feeling much better now and Brad and I are so happy to experience this amazing journey together. I can't wait to meet this little one in August and shower him (!!!) with lots of love and kisses!

We are leaving for Hawaii (Maui) tomorrow morning! I got these two dresses for the vacation and I'm super excited to wear colors. (I've been wearing black and grey...and more grey..)

Re-doing our home

We've been thinking about moving for a while but we finally decided to live here for another year. Instead of moving, we want to make our house cozier and super comfy. The number one problem in our house is our Eames style Modernica couch. Wait, I wouldn't say it's a couch. It's a day bed! After 5 years of back & neck pains from sitting on that thing, I'm so over it. I want something comfortable and roomy,, Something all of us (including our dogs) can lay down with our legs stretched!

So Brad and I went to Room & Board on my birthday morning and ordered a big sectional sofa. It's gonna take two months to get it delivered but I don't mind waiting. Meanwhile, I bought these Indigo pillows from Vivier & Bentley for the new sofa. We'll all be eagerly awaiting the arrival of the big boy.

The next step will be finding an antique rug and coffee table at the flea market. And then we want to get our bath tub reglazed! Super fun!

Good bye sweet kitty

My cat Nylon passed away Saturday morning. She was only 8 years old. She had been battling with Chronic kidney (renal) failure and it had been an emotional roller coaster for us.

Nylon was always popular with our guests. Everyone said she was the sweetest kitty ever. She loved to be around people,, she loved to be petted. (even when she was sick..) I remember the first day we met her at an adoption. We already had a dog so we had no intentions of adopting a kitten but we saw her among a bunch of other kittens and were smitten. Her coloring was different and she was smaller than others. They said she was an orphan and some mommy cat had adopted her and fed her along with her own babies. Also her original name was Cookie Monster and we thought that didn't fit her at all! Her beautiful pale green eyes and a little dot on her pink nose stole our hearts, so we took her home that day and named her Nylon. For some reason she thought our dog Choco was her mom and one of the funniest memories we have is her trying to nurse on her adopted Shitzu mommy.

I had no idea it would be this hard to lose a pet. I miss her terribly and the house feels so empty without her. I'm gonna try to think it's nature and she's in kitty heaven. Brad, Choco, Pepe and I will keep only happy memories with her and move on with her in our hearts.

I love you, my little Nylon. Thanks for the 8 years of your sweetness and love.

Rest in peace.

Last Friday was our 7 year wedding anniversary so we ordered some good bedding from Matteo. We just got back from a short Palm Springs trip and saw the package at the door. What a nice surprise! I shot the Wren Summer 2012 lookbook today. I can't show you the photos with the clothes just yet but the collection was beautiful. That's Melissa (the owner of Wren) working with three laptops at the shoot. This girl works her butt off everyday.

I'm all about sweaters lately. Got some cozy alpaca and cashmere goodies from Soyun Cashmere sample sale. This oversized chunky sweater makes me think of drinking hot cocoa with marshmallow..

I played with my polaroid camera during the weekend. I wish they still made Polaroid 600 films. The new films from The Impossible Project were very tricky to use. ~~I really hope they come up with better quality films with consistency.~~
*update* the impossible films are exactly growing on me. i tested 3 packs and i kind of like the unexpected looks. i'll keep buying them for sure..

I need to get productive this week. This weather and the time change make me so tired.

Around this time of year, I get obsessed with robes and I'm practically in my robe whenever I'm home. I've tried all kind of them but I haven't found the perfect one yet. The cheap ones often get rough after a wash but it's kind of weird to spend a lot of money on a robe. This fancy one from Journelle looks heavenly and I just want to snuggle with it. (Journelle has some beautiful lingerie.)

My dad bought me Nikon FM2 when I was 18 but somebody borrowed it a few years ago and never returned. (He went back to Korea with the camera!) I bought the same camera on craig's list for a very good deal and got a 50mm lens on Ebay. So excited to use a film camera gain.

BTW,, I've been waking up at 7:36am everyday! always exactly 7:36! weird.

I received my vintage pencil skirt I got from Etsy (only $18!) and I tried it on with a bunch of different tops to match. I liked it with a button up shirt with thin red stripes but this vintage ruffle top that I've never figured out what to wear it with surprisingly worked too. I love how it's unexpected. My CV leopard clutch adds more texture and pattern and I kind of love it.

I was meaning to introduce you this amazing flower shop, Dandelion Ranch. They did some incredible flower arrangements for Closet Visit film 2 which will debut in a few weeks and of course the flowers made the whole set look so much more beautiful. I wish we could keep this gorgeous arrangement (above) in a vintage sled forever. (I heard that they dried beautifully, too) It's something you want to look at all the time and feel happy. :)

I got another vintage Coach bag from a vintage store and I love it. I have a forest green one but this tan color works better with everything. I still like this red one from Net a Porte, too. Classic Coach works for me. :)

sorry for the absence. i got swamped with work this week so i couldn't find time to post. now i finally have a break but then i want to be away from my computer for a few days. i'll be back monday with some fresh new posts. have a great weekend!
